Willameena

Willameena is the true artist in a traditional sense,

who wishes she had lived in 1888.

She has studied at an Art Academy, learning the same skills as her idols,

such as John Singer Sargent.

 

She's an old soul, from a different time

and her passion is depicting those simpler times. ​

And so she uses her art practice to paint portraits and nostalgic scenes

in oil paint, creating preparatory sketches in charcoal or graphite pencil.

Luckily she finds art materials in second hand stores or auctions, and people give her stuff that would otherwise go to waste.

She is always searching ways to re-use surfaces to paint on.
